Start ISO Timeline

Open it before the production and connect it to vMix, or have it launch automatically so it’s always active by default.

Record and switch the show as usual. ISO Timeline logs the session automatically in the background.

When the show is done, sources are mapped automatically. Adjust if needed, then export straight to Resolve, Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.

Frequently asked questions

Does ISO Timeline record anything itself?

No. Recording still happens entirely inside vMix. ISO Timeline works alongside the production, logs the switching information and builds the timeline around the MultiCorder recordings.

Do I need a Program recording?

No. If you have one, you can add it as a Program track. If you do not, the timeline can still be built from the recorded sources and switching information.

What happens with virtual inputs?

ISO Timeline supports virtual inputs and attempts to link them to the corresponding recorded source automatically. The mapping can also be changed manually before export.

Does every camera get its own track?

Yes. Recorded video sources are kept on their own tracks so the original ISO recordings remain available throughout the edit.

Does ISO Timeline modify my video files?

No. The source recordings remain untouched. ISO Timeline creates timeline information referencing the existing files.

Which frame rates are supported?

ISO Timeline is designed for standard production frame rates, including fractional formats such as 29.97 and 59.94 fps. Replace this answer with the exact supported list before launch.

Which editing software is supported?

DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro are supported.

Does vMix need to be installed on the editing computer?
